Healer to release Black Sunshine Cover on Halloween
In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the release of WHITE ZOMBIE's ground breaking album, La Sexorcisto: Devil Music Volume I, original White Zombie drummer Ivan de Prume along with Scott "SVH" Von Heldt (former guitarist/vocalist for Brian "Head" Welch' LOVE AND DEATH), and Cirque du Soliel violinist Martin St. Pierre are slated to release a cover of the White Zombie classic, 'Black Sunshine', under the moniker of HEALER.

The song was recorded during sessions for an intended EP that was to be the groups follow-up to their debut album, Awakening, which showcased a unique blend of metal and world music.

"We started covering 'Thunderkiss ...65' and 'Black Sunshine' in our live set and the vibe was very fresh and original because of the violin and world elements we had as a band" stated Von Heldt. "When it came time to work on new material we recorded 'Black Sunshine' just to get a feel for blending that raw Zombie element with our own original twist and in the end I think we ended up with a pretty kick ass version of an already classic metal track!"

Healer was formed in 2005 and toured briefly from 2005-2007 which included a stint on the Van's Warped tour. They disbanded in 2008 with St.Pierre returning to Cirque du Soliel full-time and Von Heldt soon after joining Head (the solo band of the nicknamed former KORN guitarist). In 2011 de Prume and Von Heldt reunited and have been working on material for a new Healer release which they hope will see the light of day by early 2013!

Black Sunshine will be available October 31st via iTunes, Spotify, and other online retailers.
SVH Teams up with Shane Gibson and Abel Vallejo for new Project!
So I've been talking with Shane Gibson (former Korn touring guitarist) for a while and we've been talking about putting something together. Then recently I got hooked up with Abel Vallejo (Ray's long-time drum tech and fill in for Wuv in Stillwell) and we've been swapping tunes. Well the stars have aligned and we are finally getting this thing off the ground. Last night we had a KICK ASS jam and we are ready to let the shred begin!

Shane posted via Facebook last night:

Just got done with a pretty inspirational jam consisting of Scott Von Heldt, Abel Vallejo, and myself....... hmmmm

Which I followed up with:
SVH
Yep had a KILLER jam last night with the shredtastic Shane Gibson and bombastic beat blaster Abel Vallejo. Great guys with good hearts and loads of talent and I for one am super excited to be working with 'em! Haven't been this pumped in a while!

So there ya have it Korn fans! A few of us Korn Kampers are gonna bring you all the heaviness and melody you want ala: Korn, Deftones, Isis, Meshuggah, Tool etc!

At any rate ALL 3 of us really appreciate the Korn fans and the support you've shown us all while working with members of Korn so I thought you may dig the news. Send us a Tweet, Facebook message , or KS message us and let us know what you think!

Blessings,
SVH"
SVH Inks Deal With PreSonus!
SVH is proud to announce he has just inked an endorsement deal with Presonus! SVH made the following statement regarding the deal "Ya know I've used all kinds of gear for recording and live performance most of which could be easily substituted for another brand etc and you wouldn't know the difference. But with Presonus they just keep out doing themselves with the new innovations they pack into their gear. They also really understand the current landscape of the music biz and with Nimbit integration have really opened the door for anyone at any level to make great recordings and get them right into the marketplace! I'm looking forward to a long working relationship with my new friends at Presonus! Stay tuned for details on a very special Healer release and SVH's top secret new band project!
